My impression is that licorice root is better for stress dosing during difficult days rather than as a primary adrenal support supplement.
I really like a supplement Thyroid Helper that contains ashwaghanda, tyrosine, Selenium, etc. However that is more of a support for thyroid and adrenal medulla than adrenal cortex. It warms my cold hands, provides some motivation, etc.
I don't have much of an adrenal cortex problem. Just 20mg or so pregnenolone, some adrenal glandular per day and 5mg DHEA a couple of times per week does is okay for me.
