Re: Has anyone ever been helped by adaptogens...ever?!?
I don't remember if I've posted to your questions before since I've been away from my computer for a month. So sorry if I'm repeating myself! But I recommend you work with a practitioner who uses hair analysis. ARL is the best lab in my opinion, and I use a dr. who works with them. He has helped me a lot!! I'm in a FB group with others who work with practitioners who have all been trained by Dr. Larry Wilson,
http://www.drlwilson.com. We all share our journey, and it's a very supportive group.
Most of us, if not all, have weak adrenals and weak thyroid as well as toxic metals. The supplements and detox protocols we use are very powerful. We also rest as much as possible and eat the right diets for our oxidation rates. All of the elements come together to bring deep, inner healing. But not without feeling pretty lousy somedays. Changing the body chemistry is not easy but definitely worth everything.
Due to a death in my family, I just spent a month unable to do the full program, but I was so encouraged at the energy I had and general state of well-being. I found myself thankful for how far I had come.
You don't have to live close to a practitioner. I send in my hair test to my dr., he forwards it to the lab, and he sends me a copy of my retest results along with a CD of his interpretation of it. I am then welcome to email or call him with questions. I would love to recommend him to you, if you are interested.
