Re: Has anyone ever been helped by adaptogens...ever?!?

I agree...I mostly switched to protein from carbs and def felt an energy burst. I also don't feel hungry 2 hours after I've eaten.

But is protein right for all types of adrenal sufferers? My cortisol output is unstable...sometimes..high...sometimes normal.

I thought the mostly protein diet was recommended for those who are suffering from fatigue.

There was someone who used to post here that argued that the reason AF sufferers never got better was because of a paleo diet and that they needed carbs and keep calorie intake sufficient.

I have to admit I do feel more "grounded" after eating a cookie. Wouldn't it be great if my problems could be solved with a bag of Oreos...although I know that high Sugar and diary intake in my past probably put me in the state I'm in now.

L-Tyrosine and Rhodiola are an interesting mix. i thought the first really brings your energy up and the second takes cortisol down. I haven't tried L-tyrosine b/c I'm worried it would be too stimulating. I have tried rhodiola but it makes me depressed. i had used that and cordyseps when I was working out to control muscle loss after a hard work out....little did I know I was compromising my health.
