Re: 11th day water fasting and suffering, need help

Good evening dear Meretmin,

I am happy you sound cheerful today! Good spirit is fantastic for getting all the benefits from fasting. I feel you are doing right by protecting yourself from scared and opposition attitudes, they would take a lot of energy to resist them.

Regarding the soaking - use best Sea Salt and bicarbonate (baking soda). You can also spray it under your arms (similar to "deodorant"). The skin will absorb the electrolytes and the water. You can do it every day and even up to 3-4 times a day, if you have the energy to do it, until you helped a little bit the fatigue you are experiencing. I had similar fatigue during my last 7-day fast and I know for sure I had lack of electrolytes (I am rather slim, so my body doesn't have that much reserves). You can sip from such mixture for a about a week, or until you've gotten 2-3 liters down. At that point you can continue without the baking soda. If you had urine strips you could keep it in, and check the urine if it is not to alkaline (up to 7.5-8 pH is fine). But it is really up to you, your body signals and common sense. Also if you had stopped vomiting and feel much better you can, let's say do the feet soaking once a day -- it's like being on the beach (except you are in your chair :)). Also use warm water for more comfort.

I agree with Bluesky on the topic of colonics/enema. I feel you should try it (removing any carpeting that may take a hit of cleaned "material"), since it will make you feel so much better. I always fast ensuring I have empty bowel, or at least I had few days of fiber rich food only, so the body would get red of it on its own. If you eat processed or cooked food usually, I believe it is imperative you do such preparation, in order to facilitate your fast and avoid useless suffering. During Shelton's time there wasn't so much processed and garbage food we are all exposed to now. I am sure he would have revised his opinion in our reality.
Mucus is normal for people who consume dairy and grains (I know it is the main-stay of the "food pyramid" -- this industry-driven sneaky way of justifying eating patterns, hence a lot of suffering as a consequence), even when not fasting; I experienced it in different degrees depending on how clean or dirty my diet was beforehand. It gets rid of some of the undigested proteins and acidity, the rest of the toxic food goes to the joints generating Arthritis and pain or different tumors (like fibroids for example). I would revise my diet after my fast, the dairy now is totally useless, furthermore harmful, unless in small quantities raw-goat-cultured-milk. Same applies to grains, except certain kinds, like millet, buckwheat and quinoa, if they are soaked, rinsed and sprouted.
How you eat after your fast is super-important to your slow progress. For 4 fibroids, I would thing you need at least 6 to 12 months impeccable diet and fasting in between.

With love and compassion,
DL
