Have you read the book by Dr Wilson? I tend to feel slightly better by avoiding the stressors in all their various forms.
I was on mega doses of vit c (L-Ascorbic acid), and noticed that the symptoms that you described subsided. Kind of a coincidence, as I originally took it to help over the winter period. I'm also taking mega doses of vit d (d3).
Anyway, have you tried the 24-hour adrenal salvia test? Just wondering if something else is going on?
