Success Story

Hello All, One of the worst parts about having adrenal exhaustion/fatigue could be the fear that you will never get better again. I have searched the internet for over a year and have found 2 stories of people who overcame severe adrenal fatigue. But I've stumbled upon more than hundreds of stories of people who have suffered from adrenal fatigue for as many as 12 or more years, which no improvement. That is depressing! It is also frustrating. It makes me think that maybe people don't really recover. Is this a disease that people generally don't recover from? And for those who recovered, HOW did they do it??

I personally have struggled with adrenal exhaustion for a year. I am a 34 yr. old female, and I'm on disability from my job as a teacher because I just don't have the strength to work, let alone leave the house, let alone walk for more than 1/2 hour. I was previously very healthy and active. But now I have severe aches and pains, extreme exhaustion and fatigue, lack of energy, brain fog, poor memory, poor digestion, hypoglycemia, panic attacks, anxiety, sore/tight neck and shoulders, nausea, constipation/diareha, prone to passing out, can't walk more than 5 minutes from my house, too panicky to take public transportation, house bound, sometimes too weak to take a shower, too weak to go to dr. appointments.

I feel like the walking dead, like a 90 year old woman. My doctor has me on Cortef 12 mg./day. This helped initially for a month, but after that it has made no difference.

The constant nausea, pain, weakness and shaking, as well as the panic/anxiety and inability to be mobile have caused me to think several times that I don't want to live anymore. But at the same time I want to know that other people have overcome this.

So, if anyone on this site knows of someone who has overcame adrenal fatigue, please write about it here! To all of you who are reading this, "when" you get better, come back here and tell us. I will be here waiting, years from now. If we know that there is hope, the rest of us want to know what you did to get better. Please! :)
