A side bar
TB IS a problem, and it goes with many new (and old) strains of pathogens which acquire
Antibiotic resistance, and renewed genetic traits. Many are borrowed from other pathogens, and sometimes other collateral microbes which pass on chemical resistance properties like efflux pumps, (line-up can tell you about these)
transpoosons, plasmids, and bits and pieces of loose DNA.
Then we can go into a long list of nano delivery systems used to transfer and conjugate foreign gene cassettes into the creation of
Genetically-Modified food production, fabrics, materials and pharmaceuticals.
Some of these systems use viral carriers. The extent of global biomolecular modelling and engineering goes way beyond any kind of effective regulation, and it is all protected by legal non disclosure contracts.
Whether through natural processes or not, it is safe to say, many of these unusual and disturbing infections are man-made.
