You mentioned aluminum?

Note that these types of diseases have significantly increased since the mid-1970's and this is important.

A significant change was made about 1973. Before that, hot water tanks had magnesium electrode rods to protect from corrosion. In 1973, the industry changed to cheaper aluminum rods.

The problem is that this dissolves aluminum ions into the hot water. Many people use hot water out of the tap to make tea, coffee, and even for cooking. STOP! Do not use hot water from the faucet for anything that is consumed by humans or animals.

Another source of dietary aluminum is baking powder, not baking soda, there is a big difference.
