Re: Multiple Sclerosis, Lyme Disease and Andrographis

>- I wish they could take a whole nerve fiber stretched end to end. Send a signal thru it, a signal similar to the kind our brains supply. And measure the output. Do it with, and without myelin to compare the difference.

They do this in labs all the time.

But they cant. They could possibly get the nerve fiber, and possibly strip it of myelin. But what kind of signal would they use?

Pick up a College level book on physiology. It covers all of that.

The most important thing about the myelin sheath is that it is similar to the plastic coating on electric wires in that it is an insulator to keep the signals from shorting from one nerve to another.

>- Our nerves are like electrical wires?

Yes and no, Nerves are very complex in comparison to wires but essentially, yes they carry an electrical signal from one end to the other but in a far more complex manner.

>- That'll be the day that most diseases will truly be cured.

Sadly, cures of today, such as vaccinations, can cause other illnesses such as MS.
