Re: Why Are There So Many Churches (EDIT)
You are right. The word Trinity does not appear in the Bible, but God manifested in three persons is all over the Bible. The meaning of the word Trinity is in the Bible.
You brought out some excellent points in this post, however, I do not agree with this statement. Perhaps I am just misunderstanding you.
You said: "No man is saved without receiving the second baptism of the Holy Spirit."
All of us when we become saved receive the Holy Spirit. We receive the Holy Spirit at salvation for regeneration, guidance, help and comfort. We receive the Holy Spirit to make all things new in our lives and to lead us into all truth. He does these things for us as we allow Him to work these things in our lives. This receiving of the Holy Spirit that we receive at our new birth (also called becoming born again or becoming saved) is not called a baptism of the Holy Spirit.
The Bible does also refer to a baptism of the Holy Spirit. This can occur at the same time as our new birth, but does not in many or probably most cases. The Bible no where says that a person has to receive a second baptism of the Holy Spirit in order to be saved.
