I guess one would expect me to know, but for some reason I never did. I knew about his write-up about "why so many churches" but I guess I never read it before. It was always offered in one of his tracts and I never bought one. I found the info elsewhere on the internet. I had read his page on what he believed and I don't remember ever reading that before.
Are you sure that this is what they believe...Oneness? Most of the people I know that don't believe in the Trinity are in what most people would call a cult. They only believe that the Holy Spirit is the power of God...not a third person or personality of the Trinity. They are called non-trinitarians.
It bothered me because I was just having a debate with someone the same day about this very subject. They showed me some very weak scripture to support their view and I was planning on looking up more scripture when I got home.
I have to wonder what the Holy Spirit is trying to show me here, or if He is helping to motivate me to search scriptures to help this person.
I just think I need to study this area because I need to know how this belief affects other beliefs through out scripture. Just like my question to you about if someone used the small "s" or large "S" for Holy Spirit in that one scripture, that I posted elsewhere, how it may change the meaning.
I was just wondering if it made any difference in our understanding of the bible as a whole or if it did not change a thing.
Any thoughts from you on this subject are welcomed.
