A lot of the mthfr practitioners have gotten bad reviews.... One was even a sexua| predator. Many are changing their stance to fixing other issues first (gut, minerals, absorption,....) before tackling methylation. Many find a short cut helpful. I've been researching this for a long time and did the 23andme myself. Tons of mutations.
The consensus on what to do exactly is not clear. Many think that the snps will improve by working on key imbalances, not necessarily targeting the snps. Snps don't show what's actually happening bc u don't know if they are active or not. It just shows ur potential for issues. U could have cbs, but doesn't mean it's active. Plus, in balanced gut flora can cause a cbs issue, so fix the flora and fix the cbs
