Yes, but I think we are disagreeing on the mechanics of how God does all of this and if we are doing it correctly.
I think all of us spend most of our time looking for someone else's writing to speak for us. I don't think many of us have the time to write from the heart. And if we did, we are never really sure we wrote it right. MST does seem to do a better job than any of us on not allowing other's to speak for him.
Now most people will say that when we quote scripture we are letting God speak for us....I agree...but if we have faith enough to believe that God will also speak through our own written words, much like the disciples did, our words should match scripture. However, it takes the other person to go and read their bible to see if scripture agrees or not.
The real problem is, that everyone reads and understands the bible differently. You and I have greatly discovered that our beliefs are different in not only one small part of bible understanding, but it extends greater than we had imagined. More and more do we see how we read and understand many other parts of the bible differently. I do believe that is mainly what MST despises...our own human interpretations and not the bible. The fact that apparently we are only following a religious tradition of our church that has taught us to believe this way....or we would be in the same agreement if the same Spirit led us.
For myself, I was not part of a church when I started studying. I have to believe that the Holy Spirit guided me and I then chose a church that believed as close as myself as I could find at that time. However, people who are not being led by tradition of man, will still find that their interpretation and others who are not led by the tradition of man will still be different at times. Sooooo, what are we to gleam here?
