Any infection in the body but especially those in the gut - bacteria yeast parasites - cause inflammations and a lot of toxins. Both inflammation and toxins put pressure on adrenals which will have to produce more cortisol to control inflammation than other hormone. You can find more info on the net. Be sure your Probiotics are clean from any -oze or FOS GOS...inulin. At least for me they were problematic
