Does Colloidal Silver work for SIBO (IBS)?
My twin sons were diagnosed with SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth) that's the cause of IBS 80% of the time. We just spend $2000+ for a 10 day supply each of Rifaximin. Rifaximin works because it's a powerful
Antibiotic that works specifically in the small intestine and bypasses the stomach etc.
They're on day 7 and are excited that their miserable symptoms have reduced to the point that they can return to school. Great, excellent!
Except there's a good possibility this will return, especially with teenagers that will find it hard to stick to a hugely restrictive diet when they no longer feel any symptoms. And I love my kids but $2K in
Antibiotics every few months I'm not looking forward to - especially since our insurance doesn't pay a penny.
I was on the
Utopia-Silver site reading up on the difference between ionic and
Colloidal Silver , and saw that
Colloidal Silver can not only make it through the stomach but into the intestines.
So long story long - does anyone know if
Colloidal Silver (not ionic) actually makes it through to the small intestine? And do you know anyone that's successfully treated SIBO with it?
