Re: Does Colloidal Silver work for SIBO (IBS)?
Yes I've got tested by breath test positive.
I'm still searching a good lab to help me with stool tests. I know bacteria is in the upper intestines in SIBO and stool tests is mainly for colon but some times it migrates at least this is my experience. I would try to see which bacteria or...is there. One year ago they found enterobacter IN MY MOUTH. It supposed to stay in the intestines right?
I'm not cured since SIBO is accompanied for me with giardia candida and parasites. All diagnosed after 3-4 years of misterious ilness. Done a lot of poor performed tests that did not help at all. Finding a good lab/test is really important. National health system labs failed to discovered anything. They usually came out negative.
No Rifaximin for me - too much
Antibiotics were worsten my condition plus is hugely expensive for me. And I don't really believe it's the cure. Besides you know it mess up good bacteria big time. 30 days in my opinion is too much but I'm not a doctor.
My next try would be
Colloidal Silver or natural
Antibiotics but I'm searching for a good naturopath to help. I'm east Europe based not one here.
Probiotics just the one I've written for the moment I've tried some more powerful and with more strains and was worst FOR ME. Same with fermented foods.
I can tell that these were helping me A LOT keeping it undercontrol: virgin coconut oil 1 teaspoon with 3 meals, turmeric in food (carefull with quantity), ginger light tea, 1-2 cloves of raw garlic with food and enzymes. Coconut oil is really good and tasty - taking it outside the meals give me nausea and fatigue. Smaller meals plus specific enzymes helped to digest food so that no junk remains - not so much.
Any prebiotics like inulin and stuff were worst except garlic and onion. Sometimes I have a 2-3 cloves mashed and mix with some water togheter with food. Works like nothing.
I'm not trying to make you think drugs are not ok just in my case they are too much for my body and I'm trying natural ways of control it.
dont take it personal :) but with 4000$ i would try a different approach. Better chance to solve it than rx
Antibiotics . I know its not easy to decide for your kids and with the pressure of a wrong decision but keep searching.
