Re: What are "Christians"?

Well said.

One of the other reasons that entered into the picture of my becoming an agnostic was looking at others. Too many Christians, who said they were Christians, to me seemed like fakes. Just about everybody in the whole Christian scene seemed fake. This included ministers and lay people. I'm sure there were many sincere Christians back then, but satan used the imperfections of others to deceive me. I could see almost nothing in people but their faults. I was too blind to see my own faults. I doubt that there are too many people on this earth that are perfect. There may be, but I am pretty sure I have yet to meet one. I am far from it. That I do know.

This whole line of reasoning, when you think about it, does not make sense. Why would I want to lose my soul over the imperfections and faults of others? These people do not own God. These people cannot save me. These people did not die for my sins. If we are looking for Christians to be perfect before we accept Jesus, we will never make it.

We all need to seek truth from God and not man. Since no one on this forum died for me I am not going to let any one on CZ determine my Christianity or salvation of my soul.

I am not going to lose my soul over the faults I see in others. I am not going to lose my soul over another person's sin.

Jesus is the perfect one. It is He and He alone that I look to.
