Re: The only thing I'm worried about

Depressed,

Keep in mind everything that Im saying was about my situation so I cant tell you for sure its the same for you.

But for me, when the skin-like buildup turned whitish that meant it was closer to coming off. When mine turned white it meant that it wasnt really attached to the skin underneath, but it was just being held on by the moisture (like a suction cup, for lack of a better explanation).

I think it was a dull-whitish color because that skin was completely "dead" since it was no longer attached to the skin underneath. This skin would sometimes "slide off" easily while applying my products.

And the buildup that was not ready to come off was clearer and you could kind of see the through it to the pinkish skin attached underneath. Its a bit hard to explain but thats how it was for me.

So I could kind of tell what skin was ready to come off, and what wasnt.

But it didnt really matter, because even if it was white and I thought it was ready to come off, I would never manually peel it. Because even if its just whitish dead skin, the moisture was still penetrating and that whitish buildup actually acted as an extra barrier that kept the moisture in. So it would be super moisturized and protected.

Anyways this stuff is really kind of hard to explain so I hope you can get it. But let me know if you dont.

You really just have to give it some time and you will start making observations on your lips and how they act, as I have with my own. Just keep them moisturized and continue not to cause trauma. And perhaps look into some Hyaluronic Acid, because although Im not entirely positive it was necessary, I just know that I was using it while I saw so much improvement.
