Re: The only thing I'm worried about
Daniel,
I don't think you can make a comparison with you peeling your lips to look "normal for years " and to us keeping them moisturized to look "nearly healed on a daily basis." You weren't even in a healing process, you were HIDING your EC. The moist wound healing treatment is NOT HIDING the ec it is ALLOWING IT TO HEAL.
We have all tried the leave alone method with no results. I used to have a progress gallery on your website but have since deleted it because my condition was getting worse. I often looked in the mirror and thought "wow, my lips are looking better" , "the sides really seem to be healing" and other optimistic things. None of those were true and I often would have doubts about my healing. It was obvious I was not seeing improvement.
Here's where it's important. I am finally seeing REAL improvement. I look at my lips and see improvement that i've never seen before. The build up is much less and not because we're peeling the skin, because it's healing. At some point, you have to realize, the "natural" method is not going to work. And until you realize that, you will not see the kinds of results some of us have been seeing. You must fully commit to this method or it won't work.
Like seriously, I don't see any difference from slathering coconut oil on to your lips than squirting ketchup and mustard on your lips. I''m being critical here because I genuinely care about the people on this forum. I know what hardships we've all experienced in these last few years and I just want that to end.
Like Healing said, I'd be perfectly fine applying moisturizer for the rest of my life. Except I wouldn't be doing it to heal it, I'd be doing it to prevent it. I apply lotion to my face daily, why not put some vaseline on for day?
I'm not at Healing's stage yet, but I have no doubt it my mind that I will in the coming month(s).
