Re: Please help!
Yeah , I'm in the UK mate.
I went to see my gastroenterologist with a private appointment and after explaining everything understanding that I couldn't afford to have any procedures privately he put me on his NHS list and had a small bowel enteroscopy performed with biopsies of both my intestines and stomach lining within a month. That found H pylori and a stomach ulcer which was something I'd have never even considered otherwise. It was well worth it.
I haven't a clue how things will work in Wales to be honest mate but it may be worth just going to see a gastroenterologist privately ( cost me about £100.00 ) and explain absolutely everything. I found quite a good doctor who was open minded to the possibility of bacteria and
parasites being a big problem so you could be surprised. If you're interested in finding someone who specifically works with
parasites and bacteria a good gastroenterologist may also be able to point you in the right direction. It's a start right ?.
My advice would be to have a look online for some gastroenterologists in your area you could book a consultation with, get a proper doctor on the case and if he mentions something you don't agree with just explain your concerns. I'm not sure if you're like myself but for many years I listened to what doctors were saying but was too scared to put them in their place when they were talking absolute crap lol , since saying exactly what I've thought I've been pleasantly surprised with my gastroenterologist who's helped me a lot. The same can't be said for my GP though !.
It's good to hear you're reintroducing some carbs also. Don't be afraid of carbs , I was for a long while also. If you've been on this diet for four months and your results have come back worse and your still not feeling any better it seems clear to me that it isn't working !. Nearly half a year , you should have some results by now I think. Carbs fuel the body and I've never understood the concept of starving your body to apparently heal it. Just have a look now at how controversial the average candida diet it becoming !.
I'd recommend sweet potato as a carb to definitely try to eat , they're really good for you and generally easy to digest by most people. It's probably my favorite food now. Forget what you read online about what's good for you in your situation because then ten minutes later you can read the exact opposite on another website and at the end of the day everyone is different and attempting everything that's apparently the correct diet and treatment doesn't seem to be correct to me !.
I really want to know what could have triggered all of this for you though , I know for myself I took years of antibitoics for a prostate issue and was taking acid blockers with pain relief to protect my stomach lining , all of these medications combined left me susceptible to foreign bacteria and also killed off a lot of my friendly bacteria.
Knowing that I feel comfortable in then searching for treatment but in your case it seems a little harder to figure out. Have a good think about what you think one of the direct causes could be , I find it odd that a young guy like yourself could have all of this wrong with him.
Oh and mate , I know how you feel with the weight loss. I look like a skeleton , it's embarrassing but remember that it's just another symptom , I'm sure we'll get there in the end. We're too in the know not too lol. :)
Hang in there mate.
