Thanks lalobear! Yes, extreme diets are to blame, in general. Starving your body of one food group for months will have a negative effect eventually, thats for sure.
I never stopped eating my protein. Im obsessed with aminoacids and their effect in mood and anabolic processes so no one could have ever convinced me of doing a low protein diet. Instead, because of my ignorance of the role of carbohydrates in nutrition, I easily got fooled in that aspect. The only thing I knew about carbs were some obscure notions about they converting in sugars. And I thought I was going to get enough from carrots etc
