Well it seems its completely true what you says from all what I have been reading. Maybe has something to do with metabolic body types, ayurvedic body types or even blood body types. And of course it depends of what its the specific problem your body its facing, people with IBS from dysbiosis are not the same than people with IBS from heavy metal toxicity, for example. I am the living proof my current specific physical characteristics needed carbs to avoid underweight. And I dont think I am an exception at all, I think many individuals do need carbs to dont become walking skeletons. SillyLilly got some pounds when she introduced back GRAINS into her diet.
Its just a matter of discovering what you need. Long process... but worth it.
Just curious, from were do you get carbohydrates? What its you average daily diet?
