Re: when a dental infection has gone too far...

hi 87647 :) ...to treat the infection throughout my whole body, i took:

* oil of oregano ~softgels~ (by "now/now foods" brand, i got them from swansonvitaminsdotcom but u can try other places like ebaydotcom) and thankfully that way, u dont have to taste the oil of oregano!

some other things i was taking internally were:

(sorry, i write a lot - and i try to always tell people each brand and where each product can be ordered; from all different places, i dont work for anyone! - because i know what its like to stumble on partial info and wish the person had given more; i hope it can help other people who find themselves in the same situation...)

* capsules of clove (kroger brand, they are more potent than other brands i've tried; can get at drugstoredotcom or vitacostdotcom)

* and d-limonene softgels (also from swansonvitaminsdotcom);

i was taking all 3 of these every 4 hours, for 10 days ...then i had to take a break because i was worried about Antibiotic resistance...

when the infection was really bad at the surface of my gums, i carefully used a pin to pierce an oregano softgel, put a little on a cotton swab and dabbed around my tooth - it was awfully bitter, and im not sure it helped much

...i've tried other things - i've had good results with carefully piercing d-limonene softgels (like i was taking internally), and swabbing my gums with that,

(sometimes i mixed w/ a little "dmso" - a substance that may help other substances sink in transdermally.. dmso i got locally, online i would try ebaydotcom ...make sure the kind u get, says "USP" dmso, and/or comes in a glass bottle ...dmso can dissolve plastic if kept in contact with it, and it would make the dissolved plastic sink in thru your skin!)

also, hydrated Bentonite clay (yerba prima brand's the best i've found - it's like a creamy, liquidy lotion with a neutral taste, also from swansonvitaminsdotcom), i would take little squares of paper towel, wet them with the liquid clay, and drape over the infected tooth area, tucking one side between my gums and cheek, and the other side under my tongue ...it took a few tries but i got the hang of how to do it...

and for something stronger, i would open capsules of "french green clay" (also from same swansonvitaminsdotcom) or using loose Green Clay powder (the powder version's by now/now foods, also from same place),

i would set aside about 4 capsules worth of powder (or of the loose, 1-2tsp), dip my fingertip in it and pat/pack it on the affected area - and my whole mouth.

even though your mouth naturally gets moist, try your best to keep your mouth open to help keep it dry, and use extra extra powder to suck up moisture and help it stick...

this did get a little pasty and annoying, and when i was done i had to try to not think about it in my mouth, but i feel it was the most powerful thing i had for the infection...

now i've settled on a routine (i mentioned in my other posts but want to be complete, here):

...every morning, before i've eaten, i swish 1 teaspoon coconut oil (i use nutiva brand because i feel it's one of the least processed, can get this from amazondotcom or other places), gently (very important, otherwise it can loosen your fillings - i've had this happen!),

then i measure out a teaspoon of xylitol powder (i use jarrow brand, got at drugstoredotcom),
i moisten my toothbrush and dip it in the xylitol (it took a while for me to get the amount of moisture needed, right - too much or not enough, the xylitol either wont stick, or it will start to dissolve the xylitol in the teaspoon) and i brush my teeth with it -

then i take the remaining xylitol (w/ optionally a bit of coconut oil) ...in the morning its only 3 steps and at night it's only 2, it's yummy and hopefully good for me!

mid-day i just take a teaspoon of xylitol (no brushing necessary, coconut oil optional)

and in the evening i measure out the teaspoon of xylitol, brush w/ a bit of it and take the rest (coconut oil optional)

and my mouth is holding its own, and i really hope the xylitol might, over a long time, heal some decay that i might have, from within!

GOOD LUCK TO YOU, WISHING YOU GOOD HEALTH AND BLESSINGS!
