This diet has actually been pretty easy to do once I got used to the taste of vegetables without olive oil. I did a 30-day pure Water Fast 2 years ago which made this diet seem like a cake walk! Though I should mention the Water Fast was not done for weight loss but for detoxifying my body - even after that 30-day Water Fast I kept my gut.
But anyway, you mentioned that his plan is flawed but I am not sure I understand what you dont like about his plan because the stuff that you do mention: fruits, raw vegetables, nuts and seeds are all core to his plan. The cooked vegetables are usually steamed so could be considered 'slightly cooked', but is that your main objection to his plan, that vegetables are cooked at all?
