We are all "mediums" - we are each a spirit separate from our body, and we each have psychic abilities.  As you said, sometimes it helps to have others with these abilities to point things out to us when we don't seem able to access our own information.  My only point was that there are many out there who want to give you advice or have you pay for advice.  When it comes to others giving your advice it is interfering with your free will and you are creating karma with them.  My great grandmother was a Gypsy.  I love Gypsies to death, I really do and am very proud of my Gypsy heritage.  Have had perhaps three palm readings from them over the years and they are right on every time but then they wanted me to give them more money so they could tell me what to do or create spells, etc. and I always decline.  I got the readings only because of my love for them and the opportunity to interact with them but beyond that just don't wish to travel there.  In fact, had a Gypsy reading my palm who asked if that was my "woman" outside waiting for me and I said it was.  (I was married to much younger woman at the time.)  The palm reader told me to "get rid of her, she's not for you."  Turned out she was right but it took me a couple of years and my own determination that the match that I thought was made in heaven, wasn't.

You are indeed very psychic.  Your ability to hear or see those who have left their bodies is a great ability.  You can have a conversation with any of them who have passed on by simply going into whatever meditative state that you use and when you get there simply carry on a two way conversation with them.  You can ask anything you wish - they may or may not answer, but your conversation is real.  In fact, you can do the same type of communication with anyone in body.  Yup!  Want a spiritual conversation with anyone - do the same thing.  You may be rather surprised at what you learn and learn about yourself at the same time.  Regarding out of body beings you can use the same technique I mentioned above for out of body beings to talk to some of the great ones.  They will communicate with you.  Buddha, Gandhi, Jesus, Mary, any of those you wish to communicate with.  Anyone can do it.

As far as protections are concerned, white light is a protection but at a time that you are in physical danger, such as about to be in an automobile accident, or something like that.  I don't use it.  Have had a few major surgeries and I always use gold light/energy then.  One of your articles mentioned a "clear light" (like clear glass) and that is an even higher vibration than gold though many people become uncomfortable with it after a bit and revert to gold which is easier to handle.  You can use the clear light when you communicate with the Supreme Being - your own personal concept of the Supreme Being and can receive two way communication from that source too.  Another very significant protection is the grounding connection that I've mentioned before - that spiritual connection that everyone has between our 1st chakra and the center of the planet.  It's simple.  Just create it and let it flow down through the ground to the center of the earth.  Reinforce it from time to time.  You can also let go of things you don't want down your grounding, hate, anger, difficulties, anything you don't want to hang onto.  You can have your grounding connection at all times.  If you search the 'net on that shy away from anyone who makes it more difficult than what I mentioned.

Your gut feeling is another indication of your psychic abilities.  It's in your 2nd chakra which also has emotions, sexua| energies, and that gut feeling about others or situations you are in.  The 6th chakra is the "seeing" chakra or the third eye.  By residing in your 6th chakra and being grounded you are protected and able to see from a neutral space as well - without judgment.
