I would like to point out a couple of more things.  A lot of folks surround themselves with white light.  White light is sticky like marshmallow.  It prevents your energy system from flowing freely which keeps you stuck where you are at and prevents growth and change to a higher level of consciousness.  I use a bright clear gold energy which is a healing energy and one that attracts entities that are at that vibration or higher.  Gold will also clean out a lot of old crud when you use it with a grounding connection between your 1st chakra and the center of the planet.

You truly have your answers within you.  When you look to others for your answers - as a medium for example, you invalidate your own psychic abilities and give up your space to another psychic which is a form of control.  You are yourself psychic and ultimately responsible for all of your own actions.
