Re: My Iodine Journey - 2 years (Long)

Hi Patty!

The reason I switched to chia seeds is that flax seeds have controversy in that they can have estrogenic effects. At one point in time, I took a flax seed supplement and I had such a horrible period that month that I crossed flax off the list. If you do a search on the health benefits of chia, they are huge and there are no controversies! The only thing is they absorb water so when you make the shake, you need to drink it right away or it will get pretty thick in time. They have the omega's in the right proportion, which is why I eat them.

As far as the b vitamins, when I got that horrible cycle, I read Dr. Brownstein book (I had already read it a few times) but wanted to see what I was missing. There is a large part on the b vitamins being so important. I then found someone on these boards that had huge success with that max stress b supplement. I gave it a whirl. It has worked so well. As far as b-pollen, that is loaded with b vitamins and many amino acids. I figured I had nothing to lose. I say "go for it" as they both seemed to help with moodiness as my overall sense of well being is great.

Hope that helps,

~Kristen
