Re: Thank you and what has worked for me

steroids and stimulants stress the body-thus stressing the adrenals. Everyone has a theory. My own is that adrenal fatigue/chronic fatigue are caused by physical/emtotional/mental stress. The way out is to calm the sympathetic nervous system, which, is in chronic overdrive in adrenal fatigue. Once the sympathetic system is calmed, the body/adrenals can heal properly by building adrenal reserves-naturally, and often without the help of ten million supplements! BUT that is just my theory!

If you read the rest of my posts then you would see that I also mentioned that stress, which includes emotional stress and pain, is a primary cause of adrenal fatigue.  Steroids and stimulants are other causes as my posts have stated.

But I also mentioned that as the adrenals go down the body is easier stressed, which can further reduce adrenal function.

In my posts I also recommend trying to get vitamin C and pantothenic acid from natural sources such as foods as much as possible instead of synthetic supplements.  Herbs simply provide additional sources of nutrition and the proper ones can help reduce stress and/or help support the adrenals so they can build up easier.
