Re: The War against Dientamoeba fragilis

Yes. Flagyl I had to fight to get it for a week. But Prozac, I didn't even ask for it and the doctor gave it to me for 2 months. I don'T know why they give anti Depression drugs very easy.

The protozoa sometimes change the redox potential of the epithilial cells. There is an article about Blastocystis.hominis changing the redox of the normal cells. I wonder if there is so products to make the redox of the human cells more normal.

Other thing, the protozoa uses enzymes to digest the mucosa. They use huyluronidase to digest the hyuluronic acid. That could explain why they can be found in other places like the joints. I read an article about Entamoeba.histolytica was isolated from a knee of a man with Arthritis ( The pain was caused by the protozoa???).

Regarding the Proton pump inhibitors, in my case Lanzoprazole only helped me. I tried omepraole without any positive effect. After that I found two articles about Lanzoprazole used as a Efflux pump inhibitor against cetrain bacterie.

The only probiotic I use now is S.boulardii as there is many research that support its use as anti B.hominis and other bacterial infections. I gave up using bacterial probiotics as they seem uneffective against the protozoa.

Keep in touch.

Yahia.
