Okay....I found a 24 page interview with Dr. Jennifer Daniels right here:

In it, she mentions that she sorted through book after book, back when there was no internet, to find a cure *for everything* that people used back in the 1800's.

She also mentions that back in 1966 Congress banned it's *therapeutic usage*....

So, it absolutely, positively HAS to be "pure gum spirits of turpentine" based on reading that in 1966, because of the *Poisons and Therapeutic Goods Act*, mineral turpentines were classified as POISONS !
