Is quercetin's antihistamine effect going to be significant in stomach acid production at all? I know PPIs work to decrease histamine or block the receptors in the gastric area and that turns off acid production. Would quercetin's inhibition of histamine release cause this problem?
You will not be taking enough to significantly interfere with stomach acid formation. One capsule, which is normally 400-500mg is sufficient to act as enough of an antihistamine to do things like dilate the bronchioles. But it is not going to inactivate all the histamine in the system.
