Re: Hveragerthi
hey I wrote you in your inbox but just incase you didnt see it, I would post it here
The boards and other things keep me pretty busy so I normally do not get to PMs unless caught up on the boards unless it is something I can answer in one or two sentences.
sorry to bother you, but you seem to know the most about herbs than other other person on here.
so short story on me..I got sick about 3 yrs ago after a lot of stress being in college and smoking
Smoking in particular is going to crash your adrenals. As you crash your adrenals you are going to stress out easier due to the lack of anti-stress hormones. Unfortunately stress also weakens the adrenals, so you are getting yourself in to a viscous circle. And crashing of the adrenals leads to other problems, some of which you are already experiencing. Some symptoms of adrenal dysfunction include allergies/asthma, fatigue, increased inflammation, getting upset or stressing over issues easily, hormone imbalances, water retention, blood sugar drops when you don't eat, dizziness upon suddenly standing, thyroid issues, and immune system disorders.
..eating bad..just bad habits all together. I have developed what I believe to be Chronic Fatigue. Fatigue,
These can simply be from the adrenal issues, and possibly thyroid issues. Here is more on building the adrenals:

insomnia,
Insomnia can result from adrenal and/or thyroid issues. Elevated estrogen can suppress the thyroid as well as the adrenal dysfunction. I recommend doing your basal body temperature to determine how your thyroid is functioning:

indigestion,
The most common cause of indigestion is a lack of stomach acid, which leads to fermentation in the stomach:
http://curezone.org/forums/fm.asp?i=1480855#i
candida overgrowth in the gut,
Again Candida overgrowth results from a lack of flora. The flora produce acids that keep Candida under control by turning off the Candida growth gene and keeping the Candida in its benign yeast form:

adrenal fatigue, my neurotransmitters are all outta wack(low serotonin),
There are two areas of serotonin production for the body. The intestinal flora generate the majority of the body's serotonin since there are various functions for serotonin in the body. in fact there are 18 serotonin receptors in the body. The brain generates its own serotonin from tryptophan.
palpitations,
I give a detailed explanation of palpitations here:
http://curezone.org/forums/fm.asp?i=1509535#i
anxiety,
Anxiety can be triggered by a lactate build up or excess epinephrine release with a lack of counterbalancing acetylcholine:

http://curezone.org/forums/fm.asp?i=1693638#i
low blood sugar,
There are different forms of hypoglycemia. More than likely yours is dropping when you do not eat as opposed to after eating. This is chronic hypoglycemia, which is from adrenal dysfunction:
http://curezone.org/forums/fm.asp?i=1459218#i
slightly elevated blood pressure,
There are number of causes if hypertension:
http://curezone.org/forums/fm.asp?i=1523781#i
food allergies,
Allergies stem from adrenal dysfunction.
exercise intolerance,
This can be a number of things.
lightheadedness upon standing,
This is called orthostantic hypotension and is a symptom of adrenal dysfunction.
sensitive to heat, light, and sound...yea the whole 9.
These can be from a few things, but are most likely linked to adrenal and thyroid issues in your case.
also my calcium is borderline high.
Sounds like hyperparathyroidism. This is where the parathyroid glands react to low serum calcium or a perceived low serum calcium level. In response the parathyroid glands release parathyroid hormone, which breaks the bones down releasing calcium back in to the bloodstream. This can lead to symptoms such as high blood pressure, constipation, muscle twitching/cramping, mental fogginess, etc. The most common triggers are small benign tumors on the parathyroid glands that can be caused from inadequate levels of active vitamin D3, or a perceived low calcium level. Perceived low calcium levels can occur if you are ingesting a lot of phosphorus such as red meats, dairy or colas. As for the active D3, just taking vitamin D supplements or getting plenty of sun will not guarantee sufficient levels of active D3. D2 and inactive D3 must be converted in to active D3 for the body to use it. D2 is converted in the liver to inactive D3. From there the inactive D3 moves to the kidneys where it is converted in to active D3 if all is working properly. If the liver or kidneys are not functioning properly production of active D3 can be inhibited.
my hormones are outta wack as well. testosterone low, estrogen high,
Elevated hormones are a good indicator of a poorly functioning liver. One role of the liver is to break down excess hormones. The metabolites are then further broken down by the intestinal flora in to inactive substances. The best way to cleanse the liver and balance hormones is with digestive bitters and B vitamins:
http://curezone.org/forums/fm.asp?i=1466781#i
http://curezone.org/forums/fm.asp?i=1677437#i
As for the bitters you can use anything bitter tasting or buy digestive bitters in health food stores. Ignore the directions on the bottle though. They recommend way more than you need. All you need for bitters to work is enough to taste the bitterness. So I recommend a 1/2 dropper full on the tongue before meals Drink plenty of water throughout the day when using bitters.
low Vit D, high phosphorus,
Again contributors to hyperparathyrodism.
and low krebs cycle I believe.
Magnesium malate and malic acid will help booth ATP formation and can help with some of the symptoms you have mentioned. Source Naturals makes a combination.
Chronic Epstein Barr was positive as well.
This is done with an antibody test, which are notoriously inaccurate and really mean NOTHING. These tests DO NOT prove infection or even previous exposure from viruses.
I've tried acupuncture, homeopathic remedies, a numerous amount of herbs/supplements..and while I believe the cure is out there somewhere I think I just need the right combo. I was wondering if you can give me some advice on what combination of herbs or supplements to try for all of these things. I am allergic to ragweed.
Again allergies go back to adrenal dysfunction as do some of your other symptoms. So this would be a good areas to start focusing on.
O and btw, Im only 21 yrs old. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. Thanks and God Bless
If you are drinking sodas, especially colas you need to quit. Also watch your intake of red meats and dairy since these all contribute to your phosphorus load and hyperparathyroidism.
If you are using hormonal birth control or went off it recently this can also screw with your hormones. There are various ways to help with hormone balance, but one thing you do not want to do is to further screw with the hormones with hormonal products such as progesterone creams or DHEA.
