I read not too long ago that tongue swelling was a symptom of hypothyroidism. I was recently diagnosed and that is why I was reading about it. My adrenals are shot and they have a lot to do with the thyroid, which I'm sure you already knew. I was told at one of my recent doctor appointments and was told that the thyroid can cause problems with food intolerance. Gluten sensitivity can cause the thyroid problem and stomach issues.

I hope your adrenals get better, I know some people are having success with a low carb and high fat diet in healing their adrenals on the adrenal fatigue forum.
