excellent chris! i look forward to hearing no more silly 'rebukes' from you then unless followed with a humorous smile :-) to ensure your goodwill is patently obvious. just as i will not be countering with comments like "you and your Shelton" or "despite your Shelton's ramblings" etc., as this would belie my goodwill which is, as i say, to converse in a matter of fact, but friendly, non-confrontational, non-inflammatory and humorous manner.

now if we could clarity just one small comment you made then be done with it (unless you wish to continue).

i agree! the fact that cancer is less prevalent in less toxic environments is testimony to the fact that cancer is a tertiary 'effect'. the root cause being wanton human ignorance (choosing not to use common sense) but preferring instead to over-indulge in (worship even) primitive emotional instincts. it is this mass adoration of the herd instinct etc, rather than intelligence that causes the secondary effect; a toxic macro/micro environment, which then results in the tertiary effect of mutating the DNA causing symptoms 4 times removed from the intitial cause.

i fail to comprehend how you can even imagine that a person who writes as i do - with the obvious interests that i have, and in hematology - could still be so ill informed as to believe that DNA is the sole cause of cancer ??? which is why i clarified with:

and the consensus is that cancer is multi-factorial, there being *no single cause* for any one type of cancer.

either way, regardless of the many possible macro/micro environmental changes that influence a cell, it cannot age, malfunction or become cancerous, until a duplication, triplication, trans-location or deletion of certain genes eventuates within its DNA.

if there be something i've written that leads you to conclude that i'm suggesting by this that genetic mutations are the sole, primary, independent, initiatory *cause* of cancer (other than using the word "cause" expediently amongst informed individuals) please point them out and any other misleading inaccuracies you claim i have stated, and i will gladly rectify them.
