Re: Adrenal Fatigue and Stomach
Do you have an ulcer? Acid reflux? Nausea? Not digesting food properly?........
None of those. But my stomach issues do sound like a perfect recipe for these things to happen eventually.
Still would be good to know what you mean by the stomach being trashed.
When I get angry, stressed or even just excited I feel like adrenaline, cortisol, norepinephrine, blood or something floods my stomach. This also happens every morning when I wake up, my stomach just floods with something and it wrecks it just like nerves would. I thought it was adrenaline or cortisol from sleep apnea or super shallow breathing (really low respiratory action) causing latic acid build-up throughout the night which causes the release of adrenaline, cortisol, norepinephrine, etc (I'm just throwing out stress released chemicals without knowing exactly what they do, just trying to use examples). I feel like this over time this "stomach flooding" has messed up the lining of my stomach and this “trashes” my stomach.
These are not going to flood the stomach. I can think of two possibilities. One is that you are releasing too much stomach acid while you are sleeping. Levels should decline as you sleep. The acid can make your stomach upset, especially with little or no food in it. Another common cause of an early morning upset stomach is sinus drainage, especially from allergies, draining down in to someones stomach as they sleep.
I still seem to digest decently but whenever I eat something my stomach gets bloated. Not all the time but it definitely happens more often than not.
Bloating in the stomach is the majority of time from a lack of stomach acid leading to fermentation. Swallowing air can also cause this, but is not a common cause. The swallowed air expands as it warms from body heat leading to the bloating.
In a nutshell, it seems like my stomach secrets something during stress, anger, frustration, any type of excitement that wrecks my stomach lining and I was wondering what I could do for that. It's like having a super nervous stomach and therefore a messed up stomach, bloating and diarrhea.
You could also be dealing with IBS, which would be best addressed by focusing on building up the flora.
I was hoping Yucca Root would help with the lactic acid build-up but nothings really improved there.
Nettle leaf is the best herb for reducing lactic acid. Yucca root powder will help build up the flora. The root powder is the best as extracts lack the fiber that feed the flora.
I feel like all of this is either caused by my Adrenal Fatigue (aka allergies, which I never had before all of this) or is actually causing it to happen and get worse.
As for Marshmallow Root and Slippery Elm, I’m not looking for better digestion I’m just looking for a more soothed stomach. I have both in powders.
Either one of these will create a mucilage that soothes the stomach. I like adding a little licorice root for flavor and to also reduce inflammation that may be present.
