 You might want to go back and re-read a bit.

The theory was that only people who are HIV positive can have candida overgrowth.

I have had an HIV test more than once showing I'm negative.

I do not have HIV and am not HIV positive.

I am having serious problems with Candida.

So, yes. Theory disproven.

If you want to get picky is was a hypothesis, not a theory.  

And HIV+ or HIV- means absolutely nothing.  A positive test does not mean someone is infected and a negative test does not mean someone is HIV free.
