 I'm kind of confused about the whole theory that only HIV/AIDS and cancer patients are susceptible to candidiasis because from what I can tell, not all people with HIV appear to suffer from it, in fact some look physically very healthy. Why do you think this is?

The answer is pretty simple.  HIV+ DOES NOT mean the person is infected with the HIV virus, which by the way does not collapse the immune system.  HIV tests have over 65 known causes for false positives and the "confirmation" tests are less accurate than the initial tests.
