You're so full of good ideas!! I have been doing a little research about the thyroid and I haven't been tested yet but trying to follow the recommendations.. avoid sugar, soy, etc...
I think you're right about surfing on the internet.. it's like if we dont look up things online, we wouldnt know all the stuff we know, but on the other had it's easy to start thinking you have this and this and that when it may not be true..
Yeah stress can really do a number on you.. on thyroid too.. its soooo important when you have stress to do things to relax and get your mind off things and take care of your body. It's hard sometimes but it helps. Especially before bed I too try and stay offline and watch something funny on tv and have a little snack.
Another thing that works for me if I cant sleep is either put a little bit of
Sea Salt (not too much though) in a little bit of water or put a little on my toungue and then drink some water and that seems to do the trick.
