Chromium making anyone drowsy???

Hi, I've been taking Chromium Picolinate 400 mcg to help with hypoglycemia, and it helps a ton, but it is making me severely drowsy all day long. Theres no weakness involved, like muscle weakeness or anything, and I dont feel sick at all, it's just sleepiness. Anyone else experienced this? After 8 or 9 hrs of sleep I am still so drowsy I can barely drag myself out of bed, I get up and eat, (takes me almost an hour to wake up) feel slightly better, and then about 3-5 hrs later, I am falling over tired, like when you take cold medicine only MUCH worse. . The most I can go is about 7 hours before I am falling asleep sitting up. Can't watch tv or read anymore without literally falling asleep. Usually at that point I take a 20 min nap, which makes me feel better for about 3 hours and then I'm back to falling over tired again. If I do take a nap, I have to set an alarm because I will nap for 2 hours sometimes if i don't, and this is after having 9 hrs of sleep the past night! Never had anything like this happen in my life, usually I require between 6 to 8 hrs of sleep and no naps and function just fine. Its like taking benadryl or something every day.
The problem is, I dont want to stop taking chromium, because I have very bad hypoglycemia without it, bad low blood Sugar crashes about every 2 hours..and taking it has completely eliminated that.. in one way I've got my life back for the first time in years, being able to go out and not have constant low blood Sugar emergencies, and on the other hand I'm miserable because I cant stay awake and feel drugged up all the time.
I dont take any medications and the other supplements I take are zinc and magnesium, and b vitamins once every one or two weeks.
Anyone have any ideas or been thru anything like this before?? Any advice at all great!!!!
