Re: Waterdesign Update on Garlic!
Hi.
I am so happy for you about having abdominal peace after eliminating garlic :) Good luck with your eyes. I hope that gets better quickly for you. Again, you are so brave dealing with all these symptoms.
This garlic discussion is helpful to me. I have been using garlic lately because for me it does *sort of* work as an antibacterial/antifungal thing. But I also , besides really not wanting the smell (embarrassing!), can feel that my bacteria/fungi are at least partly immune to it, seemingly, so they in part DON'T kill the bacteria/fungi/yeast. In fact, I think the sugars in the garlic, or its saltiness? or something -- gives me a touch of bloating (bacterial overgrowth and consequent gas) when I use it -- and I use it to STOP that bloating effect. The garlic kills some things but makes some grow, in other words. yuck. Anyway, I am, ultimately, "sensitive to" garlic, meaning it makes me bloat; and your attention to this matter has prompted me to stop using it already. I love it (god how I love it) but it actually is causing me pain, and my diet is the one thing in life I really can't fool around with. I used garlic so much in the past that I got immune to its antiseptic properties. Just recently I picked it up again to see if it would work again, but... ah... no. Um, so, maybe you have a similar garlic history?? I think all people use all "sharp" spices to control bacterial growth in their bodies, so much and so traditionally that they figure in cuisines, naturally -- as oregano, jalapenos, onions. My last thoughts on garlic are: garlic and onions in Ayurveda (?) are said to be "rajasic," i.e., to arouse anger, make one argumentative -- as opposed to "sattvic," which are "peaceful" foods. I get some strength/conviction to stop using these foods from this idea, too, but mostly I need to quit garlic because I can't handle it!
... Today I really appreciated Chiron's post to you! Regards, Powerray
