Re: Desperation insomnia
Hi Konnor,
I am also prone to insomnia and disturbed sleep. These days - I don't know if its the heavy metals detox or the horrible roommate - I have nightmares, scary dreams and wake up after each dream - two three times a night. But I still sleep a good 10 hours - exhausted after over a year of
parasite infections.
Last year I was extremely ill with lung infection and whatnot and couldn't even find sleep! I would faint out of burning pain in my chest and then drift into sleep.
This year seems to be the opposite - sleeping a lot.
What turned the insomnia around for me was taking magnesium powder before I sleep - I must have been very deficient before. And also some mineral supplements. I balanced out the magnesium (hafl teaspoon) with calcium.
Also, naturopathic doctors here have given me time released melatonin - 3 mg. It works; I sleep still wake up after dreams but slip back into deep deep sleep quickly just having time to think "oh no, not another nightmare!"
Physical exercise can help. And also chigong practiced every day. This is one of the first benefits of chigong practice it kicks in after a few weeks. But you sleep like an angel then.
Otherwise, I really feel for you; insomnia is like torture.
