Re: Salt seems OK (McDougall Newsletter, August 2008)
I'm allergic to
Mono-Sodium-Glutamat (Natrium Glutamat) so I have never been able to eat food that is processed. But, although I have been on a plant based diet before, right now mine is mostly plant based but I have small amounts of meat and oils as well.
I have been on a nutritional program by Dr. Gary Gordon. You can see what he believes causes all chronic disease on his site.

I believe there is truth to what he says, but I would like to do the plant based diet along with his suggestions. I have during periods of long time veganism become weak. I could no longer make it through my regular work outs without really dragging. I could add some meat and within hours I felt energy again. I don't know what I am leaving out.
I am allergic to wheat (but not gluten,) I don't have candida. I am also allergic to citrus, pineapple, amaranth, peppermint, tomatoes, almonds, 2 kinds of yeast, and eggs. I am allergic to no animal products (except eggs).
But the only place I have found that discusses Esselstyn's work is this discussion forum by Dr. Pinckney on vegsource.

It is okay, but not real active. So, I look forward to more information about how you and others actually put the plant based diet into action.
