Re: Beautiful Fast, Faster #3 here.
"A "wondering" out loud. I suspect my body may not be as tightly "connected" to my heart as it may be to other organs. Hence the tendency for abuse to be concentrated there???"

whatever the truth, the fast is sure to bring you closer to
recognition of these intricacies, for the wonderfull way it
strips away so much noise and interference, and allows for more listening to the quieter voice within.
just a wondering speculation: i think it's more often the case that we haven't quite connected to the heart in the way
we are meant to--that is, in terms of its non-physical
essence: the open-hearted feeling is not so much a bodiy feeling, for exam, ple, as it is one of connection to an unlimited source of love that flows through us, not so much *from* us.
in that sense, the quietness of the fast can bring an awareness that we truly "are not the body", but are something like stillness. And yes, I think your intutions that food didn't so much norish are correct. I've come to see we need far les food than wer ever thought. what we need is more love. Not love with one other person, but the grwater love.
