Re: A poll for those with Seborrheic Dermatitis: Let's get to the bottom of this!
I would just like to say that I agree totally with the theory of the digestive tract being a major player in this Disease. if The stomach is not healthy...then it will lead to illness. Healthy Digestion is everything!! As well as good toilet habits!!
from the research I have come across in skin disease's there are strong theory's that Leaky gut Syndrome is a component as well. Look to
Edgar Cayce 's work..and Dr Pagano. Although Dr pagano bases his work around Psoriasis..I think his theory can easily extend to those with SD as a starting ground. But you have to also remember that everyone's body is different and will respond differently!!! One thing Dr pagano states is cut out all NIGHTSHADE VEGETABLES!! I think the potatoes were the worst for me. For me I think there are also other
food allergies ...which I am having testing for through hair samples..will be interesting to see what they show.
I do believe though that there is not just one thing you can do to bring healing. You need to take a number of measures to help your body facilitate it's own healing....and what you eat is a major component....and patience. At the moment I am not in complete remission..but my skin and my body are much healthier than it has been in a very long time.
Its only early days yet but have not had a major flare up of this condition since late nov/dec last year. I have had some flare ups since then but not nearly as bad...I have been able to leave my home everyday for close to six weeks now...this is a record for me. Which tells me that I am on the right path in detoxing my body.
What I have been doing for my healing in recent months.
Following the Dr pagano regime with food and supplements
Looking for
food allergies ...(these can cause leaky gut)from ALLERGY FREE MY BODY(google this)am awaiting test results this week.
Homeopathy
Balancing foods with the 80/20 ratio of Alkaline/Acid foods.
Drinking 3-4 litres of
Alkaline Water a day
Exercise everyday...well nearly.
Probiotic supplementation. Have been researching this one in the past week and have come across a company that appears to do some really good fermented drinks...full of probiotics, enzymes and many more goodies which the body actually recognizes.( not synthetics made in a laboratory) you can find them on Google..grainfields ...have place an order for myself this week. They Are Australian based.
I also use raw unfiltered manuka honey(20+Bacterial activated)it does not need to be that high 20+ but does need to be raw. i bought a diffent one a few weeks ago and it was not the same as the raw> Dr pagano has other suggestions for topical ointments...but manuka works for me...This is just to help with the outside while the inside healing takes place.
As I said Its early days yet...but the sun is shining a lot brighter in my life these days!!!
