Re: A poll for those with Seborrheic Dermatitis: Let's get to the bottom of this!
I wanted to be the first to respond, just so you all would know a little more about me. Might be a little repetitive.
1. When diagnosed, I had a suppressed immune system because of a kidney transplant. I also had/have high cholesterol.
2. Nothing yet, but I think my digestive system is in bad shape.
3. I was on a constant treatment of
Antibiotics for the 2.5 years leading up to my diagnosis. In addition to this, I went on 3 separate treatments of
Antibiotics for the flu 3 separate times for about a week each time in the 6 months leading up to my diagnosis.
4. See #3.
5. I've taken
Antibiotics for sickness throughout my life.
6. I believe antibiotics and the digestive system have everything to do with SD.
7. I haven't taken any antibiotics whatsoever since my diagnosis. I hope to keep it that way.
8. Yes, I am on immunosuppressive medication and I developed SD 2.5 years after I started them.
9. I have regular bowel movements, but often a loose stool. Unless I eat really well (nothing processed and mostly raw), it's sometimes tough to go.
10. I eat no white flour and as little
Sugar as possible (mostly fresh fruits and veggies and chicken). I rarely drink alcohol, occasionally a beer or glass of wine. I drink Pau D'arco tea twice daily. I use Apple Cider vinegar on my face once daily and drink two tablespoons once daily. I run 4-6 miles each week.
