Yes accutane is working for me, although if on a small dose, it can take some time to see the effects. When I was on 30mg per day my scalp cleared up in four days, but I had numerous side effects.
Now I'm on a longer course (6 months) with a small dose of 10 mg per day and have absolutely no side effects, but it did take 3 weeks for the drug to start battling those nasty pustules. I still get a small pimple here and there, but it gets demolished in a day and is nothing compared to before when my head was covered with them. So I can say that it's working for me, but it I wouldn't dare say that it would work for everyone, because I know that it didn't for a lot of people here, so I guess it depends on your type folliculitis.
