Re: Are you a Victim, a Hero, or a Bad Guy?
The Karpman Triangle can be a bit confusing. Not all victims or heroes or bad guys fall into the Triangle. A fire fighter can be a hero but probably would not be a hero in a Karpman Triangle sense. The Triangle describes forcing unwanted/unhealthy roles on oneself or others in a triad, seeking status that should only go to real victims and heroes. Imposters, really. Been there, seen it, done it.
Interesting that you say "to realize that I am in charge of my destiny".
My interpretation of why we would want to identify a Karpman Triangle is to take back control of ourselves, which is really what you said there, to take charge/control of oneself. When we place ourselves or others in the roles of victim or hero or bad guy aren't we really simply giving up control to others based on how they see us? Living our lives based on the judgments of others? I have other theories about life, but they all seem to lead back to control. So perhaps we each took a different path that led to the same destination...
I use my secret number so that when the powers that be track me down through my anti-establishment posts on Curzone, it'll take them a few extra seconds to hack through my number.
Good thing we are just friends, otherwise I'd let you know how I really feel! ;)
