Your point goes both ways. The fact that researchers have isolated specific compounds to show soy is dangerous is also misleading.
And to say we don't need to eat soy is the same as saying that we do not need to eat wheat, meat, dairy, broccoli, apples, etc. There are substitutes for every food out there. Yet we have to eat something, and I don't see any problem with eating soy as part of a regular diet. I have eaten soy since I was an infant and I am healthier than the majority of the people I know and have met. Especially those on raw food or vegetarian diets.
