More on adrenals...

Cushings' is such a complex issue. But in my case, I picked up some nasty pathogen that I beleive is protozoa .... I developed anxiety, depression, muscle weakness, joint pain, bloating, sleep problems etc. etc. I was under tremendous stress before and after contracting this. I developed all the classic signs of Cushings' purple stria on my abdomen, feet and hands swollen, neck swollen, many mental/ emotional issues, weight gain and unbearable fatigue.

I was misdiagnosed by a leading Chronic Fatigue doctor who said I had Cushing's but did the wrong tests... I had great success with magnesium, and had an incident following a IM of mag sulfate... I continued looking for answers, and I did a hair analysis which indicated that I was having an adrenal issue due to a humoral immune response.

10 long years passed before I begged a doc to run a 24hr urine collection of adrenal hormones (particullarly deoxycorticosterone in which Adelle Davis indicated was secreted to keep an infection walled off).. Presto the test indicate very high levels of these hormones...

MRI and CTscan of adrenal and pitutary tumors negative.... Confirmed that the adrenal response was/is due to immune and not tumors.
