Southern Belle (Off Topic)

Funny, you noticed!!  Actually, that's my auntie.  She passed away a few years ago and I miss her terribly, she might as well have been my Mom.   I found the pic recently and noticed how much my daughter, her and I look like each other, so figuring that in a few years down the road I will probably look like that anyway, I decided to put up the picture in my profile.

I have this penchant for liking to put pictures of extremely crabby, crazy, ridiculous and bizzare old ladies on my profile, as I don't have any particular need to take myself or be taken too seriously.  My aunt was none of those, being one of the sweetest and most naturally elegant women I have ever known.  I'm afraid I'm neither very sweet nor elegant, but at least I'm able to look up to those fine qualities in others, what can I say?!?

Some day I hope to have a television show named "Old Ladies Behaving Badly".  I practice for it during boring excursions to the supermarket.  It makes shopping all the worthwhile and it teaches my daughter that a woman's place is in the peanut gallery!
